Hospice Volunteers Needed at SolAmor Hospice

At SolAmor Hospice, we are dedicated to caring for patients who have terminal illnesses, and we help support their families and caregivers as well.

Volunteers play an important role on our teams by providing compassionate support at the end of life.
We will be providing free training for the rewarding and humanitarian experiences of hospice volunteer service.
Basic training will consist of two class meetings: January 24 & January 31, 2011 and will be held from 6:00 - 8:30 pm in our Middleton, Massachusetts office.

For more information on SolAmor Hospice, you can visit our web site at: http://www.solamorhospice.com
However, if you are interested in the January training sessions, please reply to the Craigslist e-mail link at the top of this page rather than the link for volunteers on the SolAmor Hospice web site.

Thank you for considering this opportunity!

Hospice volunteering is such an important facet of hospice that it has become a wish for me to help as many people as possible to experience the rewards of volunteering. If unsure about this unique service and how you may fit into the fabric of service for those at the end of life, I offer an online course for hospice volunteers. The course covers all aspects of the hospice philosophy of care as mandated for hospice volunteers by the 2008 Medicare Conditions of Participation. Your participation is encouraged at http://www.volunteertrainingonline.com/courses.

With the certificate of completion, you are already well on your way to becoming a hospice volunteer with such excellent groups as SolAmor Hospice. Just take your certificate to the volunteer coordinator and you will then proceed with the agency specific requirements necessary (i.e., background check, application, etc.)

Since their training does not begins January 24th, why not take the opportunity to begin the course now wit the online training? This will enable you to find out for yourself if hospice volunteer training is right for you and to prepare for the wonderful opportunity that lies ahead.
